Challenge:
Develop a modern, user-friendly website for the park district that simplifies the process of registering for programs and accessing information, while embodying a cohesive park brand.

Concept and Strategy:
Informed by discussions with local residents, park district staff, the executive director, and general managers, and by examining other successful city websites. A dedicated committee was established to guide the development process and contribute ideas. The goal was to achieve a streamlined design that allows users to find information or complete tasks in just a few clicks. The website was designed to be mobile-responsive, facilitate easy online sign-ups, generate leads for facility rentals, and support future enhancements without limitations.

The revamped website provides streamlined, immediate access to vital details and a richer insight into the park district's offerings. It features hassle-free online registration, a park locator with navigational aids, digital forms for facility rentals, job postings, updates on the status of outdoor ice rinks and sledding hills, and detailed pages for each park with photos, amenities, and maps.

Recognition:
The website was awarded first place in Website Design at the 2017 Agency Showcase Competition during the IAPD/IPRA Soaring to New Heights Conference, the leading marketing and communications contest for municipal agencies.
